Allegedly, I was speaking to someone from a phone service linked to BT Sky, Virgin or TalkTalk, about their preferential service and call protection. They mentioned that I usually settle my bills via direct debit or occasionally in cash. When I pointed out that they were mistaken, the representative wanted to know my payment method. At that point, I decided to end the call.

I can't believe what just transpired! Some despicable individuals have been pestering my 93-year-old mother. Despite her clearly stating her age and that she's partially sighted, along with the fact I'm the one managing her finances, they continued to press her. After a while, they just cut the call, leaving her distressed and anxious. How utterly appalling!

I picked up the phone, but there was utter silence on the other end; they just disconnected without saying a word.

I received a voice message from an American-sounding individual claiming that my home maintenance insurance was no longer valid and urging me to press 1 to renew it. Seems like a classic scam to me!

They’re attempting to make me cough up cash for an insurance policy that I never even had.

A call buzzed in at precisely 09:01 on the 17th of March, 2022, but there was absolute silence on the other end before the caller abruptly hung up. After scanning through various other remarks, it seems this number is linked to a recurring scam artist on the prowl for unsuspecting souls.

I received a call from this number, but there was no voicemail left.

I received a call earlier from someone who said they were representing SKY, offering me a supposedly discounted maintenance plan. However, the amount they quoted was significantly higher than my current bill! When I probed further about the company’s name, the caller abruptly hung up on me. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I just received a call from 01970 450001. A lady on the line mentioned that the maintenance cover for my television had lapsed and offered her assistance with any problems I might be facing with it. I responded by saying I wasn’t aware of any such coverage and asked her how she came to know my TV was malfunctioning. At this point, she abruptly disconnected the call.

I didn’t have a clue who was on the other end, so I left it ringing and didn’t pick up. They didn’t leave a voicemail either. I took a look on this site, and after going through the feedback others provided, I decided to just block the number.

I received a call from 01970450001, supposedly from Sky Ltd, but honestly, it feels like just another dodgy scam attempt.

At precisely 1:03 PM on the 15th of March, 2022, I received a dubious call from someone with an Indian accent. This chap insisted that I had a £12 monthly direct debit for television upkeep, which was entirely untrue. He went on to say that I'd be facing higher charges in the future. When I confronted him, labelling him a scammer, he promptly ended the call. Quite cheeky, if you ask me!

I received a call claiming it was regarding the renewal of my Sky maintenance service, which I actually don’t subscribe to at all.

I received a call from someone with a strong accent claiming to be from Sky regarding equipment maintenance. The odd thing is, they called a business line for a commercial property. As soon as I questioned them, they abruptly ended the call. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

This number has been ringing me at all hours, weekends included, and there's nothing but silence on the other end! It’s utterly ridiculous and feels like harassment for sure. What a complete disgrace!

Aggressive con artist, seems rather skilled at spinning tales and fabricating figures. Exercise caution!

A woman with an Asian accent just rang me, asserting she was from "Sky Assured Itd" and wanted to chat about a contract that's apparently out of date – which, mind you, we don't even possess! It’s clearly a dodgy scam. I've since blocked the number.

I've noticed that there's this chap with an Asian accent who seems to be using cloned area codes, specifically ringing folks in Aberystwyth. It’s quite deceptive, as it makes us presume it’s a local call. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of falling for a scam with a local area code in the past, and I recall Martin Lewis discussing the antics of these scammers on one of his shows!

I let the call ring out as I don’t pick up for numbers I'm not familiar with. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail, either. After seeing what others have said, I’m relieved I chose not to answer!

Utter rubbish! Just received a message about renewing some so-called annual maintenance cover... which I definitely don’t possess. What a bunch of jokers! Do yourself a favour and block these nuisances!

I received a rather curious call from a chap named Mike, representing "Sky Assured." He was eager to discuss renewing some insurance on my rather old telly that, quite frankly, I've never had covered. After quite a bit of back and forth, he eventually threw in the towel!

Sky reached out, stating that my contract for electronic equipment maintenance was up for renewal. I was quite taken aback as I had never signed up for anything like that. They insisted I was locked into a two-year agreement and warned me of hefty penalties if I didn't renew. I told them to take a hike!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to be Dexter from Sky Maintenance. I promptly hung up, especially since we're not experiencing any issues with our Sky service. Quite frankly, it seems rather odd that Sky would be calling us from an 01970 number—I'm not even sure where that is!
