My elderly mum and dad, both well over 80, got a call about some issue with an online order. Thing is, they don’t even use the internet, so it immediately struck me as dodgy. I tried ringing the number back, but no one picked up and it just went straight to voicemail. All signs point to this being yet another scam.

I received a call from someone pretending to be from a company about an online order issue affecting my elderly parents, who are both in their eighties. Given that they have no internet access whatsoever, it struck me as rather dodgy. I decided to return the call, but to my surprise, it just went straight to voicemail without any response. This just reinforces my suspicion that it’s yet another scammer trying their luck.
