I got a call claiming to be from TalkTalk about issues with my router. Thing is, TalkTalk wouldn't be aware of any faults unless I reported them first. You’d think these scammers would catch on by now! The bloke called himself ‘Mike’ and had a strong Indian accent. Often I just tell them my computer’s off or takes ages to boot up, then leave it there and make a cuppa. They usually get bored and hang up after a while. After that, I block the number and report the scam on TalkTalk’s official website.

The phone rang, I picked up, but there was just silence and then the call dropped. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I've had several calls from this number but no voicemail left, so it can't be too urgent. I'm just ignoring it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT’s tech support saying our internet was going to be cut off in 4 days. They had an Asian accent. When I said alright, they just ended the call. Sounds like a scam to me.
