A guy with an Asian accent rang me up, saying he was Kevin from BT's Technical Team. Since I hadn't got any dealings with BT, I told him he isn’t really from there and called it out as a scam. He started shouting nasty stuff at me, then just cut the call. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Had yet another call claiming to be from BT outreach, that’s the third one just today. Honestly, what’s BT doing about these scam call centres? It must be damaging their image big time by now.

I've started letting the answering machine pick up because this number rings me up loads of times every day. The last few calls ended with nothing but some heavy breathing recorded on the voicemail!

I've been getting calls non stop from a lady with an Asian accent claiming she's from BT and that my internet is down. I told her she wasn’t calling from a UK number, but she just kept insisting she was legit. When will the authorities stop these fake calls happening all the time? It’s so annoying!

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT or Openreach. Since we use a different provider, I already felt a bit iffy. He said there was a big issue with my internet which would be cut off in a couple of hours. Then he asked me to switch on my computer and give him my password so he could fix it. Don’t fall for this trick - it’s definitely a scam. If I’d handed over my info, he could’ve cleaned out my bank account. Luckily, I caught on quick and ended the call straight away.

I’m so done with these calls, they’re just a total waste of my time. Luckily, I found this site where you can look them up before you answer. Definitely better to just ignore and hang up straight away!

A gentleman from an Asian background rang me up, claiming that my internet service was about to be suspended due to a detected fault. He insisted that the issue could be resolved if I powered up my computer and provided him with my password. Sensing something was off, I ended the call, convinced it was a scam attempt.

Last week I got a couple of calls like this. I played along for a while, then mentioned they’re not really from BT and asked why they felt the need to fib. Most of the time, they just end the call.

I just had a rather curious phone call from a number I didn't recognise. An individual with an Asian accent introduced himself as "Jason," claiming to represent BT Internet Security. He went on to say that my router was supposedly sending out error reports. I informed him that my husband, who's quite knowledgeable in IT, would take care of it upon his return from a lecture in London. It was a complete fabrication, but I thought it prudent! I didn't even allow him the chance to explain what his next steps might be!

Got a call from an Asian guy who sounded like he's working in a call centre. He claimed he was from BT's tech dept, telling me my computer got hacked during the night and offered to sort it out for me. Then, just hung up on me.

Got a call very much like others here, some Indian bloke claiming to be from BT about my internet being faulty. I quickly called him out, told him he wasn’t really from BT and that it was a scam. That’s when he turned quite aggressive, started threatening to send people round or even come here himself - funny thing is, he didn’t even know my name or where I lived! Bit pathetic really, but I can imagine how terrifying that would be for someone more trusting.

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was calling on behalf of BT, claiming my internet was hacked and about to be turned off right away. I asked how he knew this and he said he worked in BT tech support. When I asked what I had to do, he said he needed my IP address and would guide me through it. Honestly, don't be fooled by this, it's definitely a scam.

Just like the previous one, I got a call from a bloke called 'Peter' claiming to be from BT tech support. My partner rang BT Customer Service during the weekend and they confirmed it’s a scam. He said they try to get into your computer under the pretence of sorting out your broadband. The moment I started asking 'Peter' some questions, he hung up straight away. What’s annoying is this is the fourth time I’ve had the same caller in the last few days.

Got a call from an Indian guy today, second time this number's called me. He claimed to be from BT and said some hackers had got into our online stuff. He offered to fix it, but only if I let him take over my computer. Suspicious as hell.
