I just got a phone call from this number, insisting they were from BT and that there was an issue with my internet connection. They wanted me to switch on my computer so they could guide me through the process of resolving it. The thing is, I’m actually with a different provider, so I immediately realised it was a scam. I had a similar experience a few months back, and when I contacted BT, they confirmed that if they aren't your internet provider, they wouldn't ever call you. Total nonsense!
