Absolute nuisance. Different numbers all starting with the same 01952 code keep calling me daily, asking loads of household questions. I've blocked loads of them already, and now I'm just gonna ignore any other calls from this area code. Got a rubbish call again today, twice actually, supposedly from ubenefit. The voice and name sounded very Indian. I’ve just gone ahead and blocked the number using my BT online settings.

Sounds like one of those annoying cold calls. I let it go to my answerphone, but the person never left any message. In the background, you could hear a lot of people talking nonsense, which made it obvious it was a call centre call. Just a load of pointless noise from their end! What a waste of time.

Got another call like this, they switch the numbers every day. I've blocked this one and will block all the others too. Make sure you’ve got caller ID and don't pick up if it's someone unfamiliar. Usually, these calls are automated just to see if you’re picking up. If you do, and there's silence, expect a call back from a scammer, either from the same number or a different one. Best to just ignore them altogether.

So typical, the call comes through all quiet, then a sharp voice goes ‘hello’, I’m like ‘what’s the point?’, and she just hangs up. If cold calls are banned, how come they never stop? I’ve used up all my blocks and now I’m just stacking new ones on top.

When I asked who he was, he just said he’d leave a message for Mrs xxx. Then he claimed he had been given £1,000 to ### Mr xxx and abruptly hung up. Total weirdo!
