I received a call from this number the other day. The person on the other end seemed rather inquisitive, probing into various matters like whether my contract had expired, the amount I was being charged, and even if there was another EE device in my household. I had to admit that I didn’t have those specifics readily available at that moment. She mentioned she could potentially secure me a better rate and proposed to call back the following day once I had the necessary information. I nodded in agreement, but as soon as we hung up, I took the liberty of blocking that number.

He actually used my name and asked if I was still self-employed, saying I ought to have some sort of business deal going. I replied, why didn’t you mention that years ago? Then I started feeling something was off. I asked where he got my number, and even though he knew loads about me, he said he was calling from O2. He claimed he found my details on local business trade directories but then said something that made no sense how he could possibly know. I told him I wasn’t interested in chatting anymore, and he just hung up. The number was 01952 780629.

This could be one of those "sale calls" where they're using auto diallers, just trying their luck hoping to catch someone on EE or O2 who might want a better offer - for them, of course.
