This morning my phone rang from a mobile number 07306 676928, I picked up but there was nothing but silence. Then about 15 minutes later, another call came in from 07700 134611, which I ignored. Later, a voicemail came through telling me to ring 01952 780573 if I didn’t want any more calls. I have no clue who these people are and I’m not planning on returning the call to find out either.

I'm becoming increasingly fed up with the number of silent calls I keep receiving from this particular number.

Clearly up to no good! It appears to be linked to a phantom missed call (which I can’t find anywhere in my call log). A recorded message has popped up on my voicemail, urging me to ring 01952 780 573 if I want to have my number taken off their so-called list. I can't imagine what sort of nonsense you'd encounter if you were to ring that number; I can only assume it’s an attempt by some shady character to fleece unsuspecting individuals.

Called by plan.com but from the number 01952 780639. Picked up straight away only to get a voice saying ring them back on that same number. Classic mobile phone con artists pretending to be legit, which they'll never actually be.

The voice on the phone sounded like it was coming from a hospital or something. It really stressed me out because I had no clue if it was someone from my family or mates. I ended up spending the whole evening just checking everyone's alright. I even felt awful afterwards, thought I heard mum in the background mumbling. Honestly, this is really upsetting - hope you can sort it out soon!!!!!!

Someone rang me claiming to be from Telford communications about my 02 contract, trying to see if they could reduce my monthly bill... Didn’t get a name, and as the number didn’t show as 02, I just said no. The caller was polite, didn’t hassle me, and thanked me for my time. Still a bit iffy on if it was legit, so I thought I’d report it here.

Somebody called claiming to be from Telsa, saying they were an official dealer for O2/Tesco with special discounts for businesses. It sounded a bit fishy to me, so I told them I'd look into it myself and choose the best deal, then I ended the call.

Someone called saying they were from O2 wanting to talk about my contract renewal (even tho it’s not up yet)… when I asked them questions they got all confused and admitted they weren’t really from O2, so I just ended the call. They rang again the next day so I’ve blocked the number now.

got a call today from someone called ‘tom’ talking about some government paid loft insulation that we supposedly got done. odd thing is we had almost the same call a few days back - same bloke, same name but this time from a number that didn’t show up. i told him again we never had insulation installed and he just hung up.
