Got a call earlier saying I might be eligible for an upgrade on my Vodafone account. They knew my full name and even asked for my birthday and postcode. Then suddenly said the computer had crashed and they'd ring me again. Guess what? Never got that call back!

I got a random ring from someone asking to talk to whoever owns the number. They didn’t say who they were at first, but when I asked, they said they were from Onecom. Oddly enough, the number they called is definitely listed with the Telephone Preference Service, so not sure how they got through.

Just got a call from a bloke claiming to be a Vodafone sales rep, asking if I wanted to upgrade my phone. Then he started trying to get my bank info and other personal stuff. I've shared this here because I really hope someone can stop this scammer from tricking someone who's more vulnerable (apparently the cops say they’re specifically after those people). The fraud squad is now on the case, the police told me this morning. Fingers crossed they sort it out soon.
