Got a call from someone who somehow knew my name. I told her to hang on a moment while I put her through to the Police. She got real quiet after that!

Got a call from a woman who wanted to know what brand of TV I had. I wouldn’t give her any info, and then she started saying I had to tell her or she’d keep ringing me. I hung up, but she called straight back. This went on a few times, so I told her she was harassing me and had no right to insist on that info. She claimed it was some kind of survey. I told her I’d report the calls to the TPS, and after that she didn’t bother ringing again.

Got a call from a woman asking what brand my telly was. I didn't wanna say, and she went on saying I had to tell her or else she'd keep ringing. I hung up, but she rang straight back, and this kept happening a few times. Eventually, I told her it was harassment and she had no right to push for that info. She claimed she was just doing a survey. I said I’d report her to the TPS, and after that, she didn’t bother calling again.

When I answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end. Probably just a spam call, if you ask me.

They asked if I owned a TV and I fibbed saying I didn’t. That seemed to shut them up straight away and the call ended.

Received a rather dubious call from a company claiming to be from a brand-conscious outfit here in the UK. They were inquiring about the make and model of my television. Interestingly, this was not the first time I’d been contacted by them; I’d engaged with them previously, pretending to cooperate but withholding any personal details. Eventually, however, I lost my patience and let them have it. Despite my local area code-presumably from somewhere in the northwest-the call had a distinctly overseas call centre feel to it. I've already filed a complaint with the ICO, where these nuisance calls can be reported, but it appears my efforts have yet to yield any result. It’s frustrating to think that the individuals making these calls are likely earning very little, yet they persist in annoying us with their relentless telemarketing tactics.

I reckon this number is from an auto dialler. When my answerphone picked up, the person on the other end said hello but didn’t realise it was an answerphone, then they just put the phone down after about 6 seconds.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was calling from the UK, but I really doubt it. She kept pushing me to tell her the make and model of my TV. When I asked why she wanted those details, she just said I had to give them. Obviously, I refused and told her to remove my number from their records, but she wouldn’t agree. Had no choice but to block the number in the end.
