Got a call from some Asian lady saying she was from Microsoft. She started by telling me she was having her tea right then and insisted I was some kind of scammer. Before I could even respond, the call was already ended. Proper odd!

This bloke rang, asking if he could talk to the people who live here. They weren't home, but he kept pushing me to scribble down some dodgy words as a 'message'. I just ended the call and looked up his number, which led me to all sorts of warnings. Then, he got in touch again later, saying his name’s Jacob Martin and claimed he’s not after a job - he just enjoys phoning people all day, pretending to be from Microsoft. Proper sad, honestly.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one receiving annoying calls from some scammer pretending to be from Microsoft. That number has rung me twice already, so you’d think it could be tracked down easily. I wonder why MI5 haven’t stepped in yet. When I confronted the caller about GDPR and told him I hadn’t agreed to any calls, he just chuckled like it was a joke. That’s when I told him to get lost and hung up. Probably didn’t faze him, but at least it made me feel a bit better.

Does BT or anyone actually bother to stop these annoying calls? I’m fed up with getting them all the time! The last three calls I received were from different numbers, and when I pick up, no one says a word. Proper frustrating!

I received a rather dodgy call from this number earlier today. An individual with an Asian accent claimed to be from Microsoft and mentioned there was an issue with my computer. However, the call was riddled with interference and barely audible. I informed him that this was simply a scam and that I would be reporting the number. He promptly hung up on me.

Got a call from someone with that typical Indian accent, said he was Michael from Microsoft. Started on about my computer being hacked, all that usual spiel. I just kept chatting away to make him waste his time. He asked if my PC was on. I said no. Then, could I switch it on? Again, no. Tried to find out why and I told him it’d gone in for repairs. He asked when I’d get it back, and I had no clue. Asked if he could call me in an hour once it’s back. Honestly, I was barely holding in my laughter. He must’ve twigged I wasn’t serious and ended the call. Total scam.

This bloke’s called me a bunch of times back to back, each time from a different number. Just recently, it was from this one. I asked if I could speak to a woman instead, hoping she might understand how intimidating he sounded.

I've had two phone calls from this number, both times with a caller who sounded Asian, but I didn’t quite catch their names. In the first call, which was yesterday on Sunday, I listened for a bit as the chap mentioned they could see that I'd encountered viruses while browsing online, and they were offering to help me banish them. I informed him that I don't use Microsoft products. To which he replied, “Ah, an Apple Mac, we’re aware." He then inquired whether I had my computer to hand. To cut a long story short, I expressed my reservations about trusting him. He kept pushing and even went so far as to threaten me with blocking my computer. I told him to go ahead and do what he wanted, then hung up. This morning, I received yet another call and hung up the moment I heard “Microsoft.” We’ve got their number-why on earth can’t someone put an end to this?

Got a really unpleasant call today, some bloke claiming he was from Microsoft, saying there was a virus on our computer. When I questioned him a bit, he completely lost it and started shouting all sorts of horrible things, even threatening to come round and do awful stuff to my wife and kids. They seem to call nearly every day, and it's mostly to scare my elderly mum. Really disturbing stuff.

Got a call from a bloke with an accent, claimed he was from Microsoft, saying my computer was under attack by hackers. He told me they should have alerted me for security reasons and offered to connect me with a specialist to sort it out. I ended the call straight away. Got a call around 12:45 from someone who said he was Jacob Martin with Hotkeys. He wanted me to say a word out loud, but when I asked why he needed that, he just said it was for confirmation. I asked again what the call was regarding, but he kept pushing me to say the word he spelled out phonetically. Ended up just hanging up.

An elderly woman received phone calls that left her quite puzzled and unsettled, as she couldn’t quite grasp the purpose of the conversations. She's not very tech-savvy and doesn’t have access to a computer, which has only added to her confusion and distress regarding these calls.

So this person claimed to be from Microsoft, but as soon as I mentioned I worked for the police, she got really annoyed. When I asked for a number to ring her back, she said it was my responsibility to find her instead. Then she just cut me off. I ended up calling back and said I’d be checking her out, and she freaked out and ended the call.
