I got a call from a woman but she was speaking so quietly I could barely catch what she said. She said she was from “Entice Energy” and even knew my first name. It felt a bit off, so I decided to just end the call.

EXTREMELY RISKY CALL. Got phoned by someone trying to trick me into giving my bank info for some fake refund. I like messing around with these scammers, pretending I’m part of a fraud squad and telling them their calls are being recorded and traced, which usually makes them hang up quickly. this number along with the scam details really needs to be logged with the police database. every day loads of these annoying calls and texts hit us here in the UK. why? because a small number of these scams actually fool people and hardly any get reported. if you want to make a report just google ‘action fraud’ then pick the ‘police.uk’ link, hit the ‘reporting’ tab and find the phishing report area. scroll past the email scam bit to add your info about this. be careful out there and always report anything suspicious.
