Received a call from someone looking for a person that clearly doesn’t own this number. I informed them they had misdialled, but they insisted I was mistaken. I ended the conversation and they proceeded to ring me another three times. In the end, I decided to block them. The accent was completely unclear, and I had no clue where they were calling from.

Scam alert for a dodgy quiz – time to hit the block button!

I picked up my phone and was greeted by a pre-recorded message claiming I was in line to win either a thousand quid or an iPad Pro, if I could spare just a couple of minutes. They urged me to hit 1 and reassured me I’d receive a follow-up call within 48 hours. It all felt a bit dodgy, so I just hung up. Anyone got a clue what's going on?

I consider myself rather fortunate! I received a call informing me I’d been selected to receive £1000. Unfortunately, I ended the call and subsequently blocked the number.

I picked up the phone and greeted the caller, but all I got in return was silence. Before long, the line went dead. Quite puzzling, really.
