Got a spam call on 27/3/24 at about 12:20 in the afternoon, and they rang me 9 times within just two minutes (my phone’s locked, so I saw it all on the screen). I always have do not disturb on, so it didn’t actually ring. They messed up and left a voicemail with nothing but silence. Looks like a dodgy 3rd party EE spammer (cheers EE for passing on your customers’ numbers).

This number rang me twice on 25/03/24. I ignored both calls as I was busy, and had Google Assistant answer them. Each time, the caller just hung up instead of saying who they were or what they wanted. According to EE’s website, this number is linked to Interact, one of their ‘Direct Partners’. But if these ‘Direct Partners’ won't even identify themselves or explain why they’re calling, then EE might want to rethink who they’re handing their customers’ info to.

This has gotta be a scam, dont ever say the pin EE texts you. Just hang up and ring EE yourself on 150. They put someone else on the line pretending to be you, which makes EE send a pin. If u tell the caller that code, they get into your account.

Just head over to the EE website and you'll find the partners listed clearly. This number belongs to Interact. A simple Google search can clear things up quickly. Don’t just guess stuff. Go to ee.co.uk, click on “help and support”, type in “What numbers will EE partners call from?” and then click on “read more” - it’s all there. I don’t work for any of these companies, but I know how EE and BT operate. Like I said, they hire marketing agencies to handle their sales calls. If anyone still calls this a scam after reading this, well, they're just being silly.

not all sales calls are scams. someone called me and actually knew the right person to talk to and mentioned our contract was ending this month. the security at BT and EE is pretty tight. they wouldn’t have that info unless they had proper access to the account. EE/BT never confirm if third parties do their sales for them. I know this cause I work in a similar role for EE/BT business side. our contact number is plainly listed on BT’s official website.

Supposedly calling from EE, the bloke was quite polite and spoke in an English accent, maybe from around Wigan judging by the number. A woman with a British accent said she was calling from EE. I missed the call but rang back, got through right away. He kept prying what I used the data for, like Netflix or TikTok. When I told him it wasn’t his business, he got all defensive, asking why I didn’t wanna share, saying he was just trying to help!!! Yeah right... wouldn’t accept me saying I wasn’t interested. So I humoured him for a bit before cutting him off. He said he was trying to help but was really pushing broadband and stuff I didn’t want. Be careful out there!

Got a call from a number labelled as WIGAN, person said they were from EE and wanted to offer me some loyalty deals. I just ended the call then rang my usual EE customer service to check it out. EE confirmed it’s a genuine call from a third party called INTERACT working on their behalf. They said it’s not a scam and these people are officially linked to EE as a vendor.

Got a call from 01942 901130 on Wednesday saying they were from EE. I do have an EE account but they had no clue who I was. Told them I wasn’t up for any scams. Then on Thursday and Friday they rang me like 38 times, so I ended up blocking the number.

Looks like this is an authorised partner of EE, according to their website it’s a company named Interact. So they are legit, but honestly so irritating!! When I reject the call they just ring me back immediately, and if I don’t answer they keep calling every single night.

Got tired of them constantly calling so I picked up, they said they were from EE trying to offer me some discount. Took ages for them to reply, seemed like they weren’t expecting me to answer. Some bloke said he was from EE, trying to sell me cheaper plans and extra deals. I told her I wasn’t interested right now and she suddenly got really rude and hung up on me. Hey everyone, EE knows about these scams, especially when they start asking for your account info. If you’re not sure, just say you want them to call you back (trust me, they will keep ringing, and keep ringing, from loads of different numbers, so blocking one won’t stop them). Then call EE yourself to check. That’s what I did and they confirmed it was definitely a scam. So if someone offers a deal that sounds too good to be true - it probably is. Never give out your account details or passwords, and don’t verify any bank info - you won’t get the device they promise.

It could be EE or maybe some other company working with them, but I was really surprised the caller knew my maiden name even though I got married 6 years ago and EE have all my current info. Definitely not answering if they call back. I did manage to end the call without giving away any more details though.

Said they were calling from EE but when I asked, they admitted they’re actually a third party working for ee. I’ve had loads of calls from this number and every time I’ve told them I’m not interested. The last caller insisted they were really from ee and that Amy (the woman who said it was a third party) was new and didn’t know what she was talking about. I don’t trust this lot at all. Every sales call kicks off with “how are you today?” but they’re only ever sales calls and never anything useful or wanted.
