A bloke rang up nicely enough and told me that the “government paid for extra loft insulation I had fitted might cause condensation, but no worries, I could arrange a free inspection.” When I asked where he’d gotten details about my loft insulation from, he just hung up on me. The thing is, my roof and loft insulation was done privately - no government cash was involved since it wasn’t enough for the particular needs of my roof.

Got a bloke on the phone saying I could get my loft insulation updated under some Government grant. Thing is, my insulation was put in by a family-run business ages ago and there was no grant or any payment needed from me! Smells a bit fishy to me, like a scam maybe. Watch out for these sorts of calls!
