So, they rang me at 9 this morning but I didn’t pick up. Later on, at around 5pm, I answered. The caller claimed to be from the telephone preference service and said they could stop all nuisance calls from the next day (Which was odd, cos I’m already signed up with BT for that, but somehow these calls still get through!). First off, they were convinced my number wasn’t mine. Then out of nowhere, they asked if I was younger than 85! What’s that about? Got fed up and just hung up on them.

Got a call from 01937025088 on 13/03/19 around 5:46pm. We’re on the TPS and our number's ex-directory, so no idea why they bothered. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. We do have an automated message that says we’re on the TPS, but it doesn’t seem to stop these calls, even ones from within the UK. Really annoying!

Got a call at 5:31pm today but no one spoke when I picked up. Didn’t leave any voicemail either. This is the third time I’ve had random calls from different numbers today, checked with 1471. Really annoying.

I tried using the telephone preference service and wanted to know if they block calls coming from India, but they told me the number was based in London. When I asked them which part of London, they just wouldn’t say or couldn’t give me an answer. Eventually, they hung up when I kept pressing for more info.

This number called me a couple of times, but I ignored it at first. Eventually, I picked up, and the guy said he was from some Telephone Preference Management thing. I told him I’m already signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. He had a strong foreign accent and tried to verify my address, but the one he had was totally wrong. When I asked him why he didn’t just check properly, I had to laugh and told him “You should have my details already!” Not long after, he just cut me off. Quite odd!

I am extremely frustrated as Virgin has been blocking the number 01949082811 multiple times a day, driving me insane. Even though it has been blocked, today I received calls from 01937025088 at least 12 times. Unfortunately, I have call guardian activated, which means I cannot intercept the calls. The caller has to state their name before I can give permission to connect the call. Whenever I attempt to call back, I receive a message saying that the number is not recognized. This situation is particularly stressful for me as my husband is currently in the hospital. These constant unwanted calls are not only disturbing me but also causing my German Shepherds to bark incessantly.
