Been getting these robotic calls about fake charges on my “bank card”. The message never changes, but they keep ringing me from loads of different numbers. Proper annoying!

In the space of one week, I’ve received a couple of calls from an automated female voice claiming that £500 was taken from my card, but they never say which bank supposedly did it. Because I’ve seen a TV show about scams, I just hang up straight away. I’ve started jotting down the number and keeping it near my phone so I can check any incoming calls against it and avoid answering. After these calls, I always log into my bank’s website just to double-check nothing’s been withdrawn - thankfully, everything’s been fine so far.

Got a call from some scammer using a recorded female voice claiming to be from the bank’s security team. The message said there was a charge of £xx on my account. I received a rather alarming message claiming that two hefty amounts of money had been withdrawn from my account, and they wanted to confirm whether I had given my permission for it.
CLEAR SCAM ATTEMPT
I’m well aware that I don’t have any pending transactions like that, and it was clearly just a recorded voice. I never engage or press any buttons when it comes to cold callers.
