01929752533 - WARNING - this is definitely a SCAM! On Monday 15th July 2019 at around 11 in the morning, this number phoned me. Once the call ended, I did a 1471 check to see the number. The person claimed they were from British Telecom and said there was a problem with my internet security that they could sort. They asked me to switch on my computer and followed some instructions. I don’t have any internet issues and it reminded me of a call I had about a year earlier where they tried to convince me to download special software from a site they’d give me. I told them straight away I knew they weren’t BT and that it was a scam, so they hung up. It’s clear this was a fraudulent call! It’s annoying how these scammers underestimate people who use computers. Please watch out for this number and report it if you hear from them! Cheers.
