4 yearsReceived a call from someone who seemed to know my full name and was inquiring about a car crash that I’ve never been involved in. Quite odd, to say the least!4 yearsI received a rather dubious call apparently from AA insurance. A woman on the line insisted she was reaching out about a non-fault car accident I supposedly had a couple of years back. Total scam! I've gone ahead and blocked her!AA4 yearsSome woman called me, used my name and said I had helped with a children’s safety fund or something like that. I reckon she was fishing for a donation. I told her I hadn’t got a clue who she was talking about and then got off the phone. Feels like a classic scam to me.4 yearsI answered the phone when they called, and as soon as I said "this is me, what do you want?" she just put the phone down.4 yearsI got a call from someone saying they were with AA insurance, talking about a crash that supposedly happened within the past couple of years. They couldn't provide any specific info and mentioned they got my information from some government insurance department in the UK, which I'd never come across before! I told them that wasn't true, and then they just hung up on me.AA InsuranceUK4 yearsHad a couple of missed calls and when I rang back, an automated voice said it was the fraud prevention team, telling me someone tried to get into my account and I had to verify my info. I looked up the number online and turns out it’s a scam. I then called my TSB bank and they told me they never ring you up asking for personal info, and to never share that stuff with anyone. Loads of people had already reported this number as a scam. So yeah, don’t pick up or give out any details. Always ring your bank on the number on the back of your card if you’re worried.TSB4 yearsI decided to block this number after reading loads of reviews and because it kept ringing me loads. My phone even showed a warning when they called, saying it might be some kind of scam or fraud. Definitely dodgy!Submit Your Own Report (01925 506857)
