Got a call from some scammers today. They claimed we had a chat back in September 2021 where I supposedly agreed to back a School Safety project. They wanted me to cough up £250 to get safety booklets for a school in Bolton I picked. I asked for more details and told them I never agreed to any of it, and then they just hung up on me. Seriously, if you get calls like this, don’t fall for it - just hang up or block the number straight away! They’re 100% scammers.

Got a call from someone insisting we’d had a chat back in December and said I’d promised to back some School Safety project. They wanted £180 to make sure the school I picked would get these safety leaflets. When I said I never agreed to anything they just ended the call. Honestly, don’t fall for it - just hang up or block their number!

I received a rather insistent yet courteous call from this individual, who was keen on persuading me that we had held a conversation earlier in the year. According to him, I had allegedly agreed to contribute £89 towards some educational safety initiatives. He was quite persistent about me settling this payment immediately for the service. However, I don’t have any children and haven’t any involvement with schools at all. There’s no way I would ever consent to such a thing! I’ve promptly blocked the number!
