I received a rather odd call from someone purporting to represent the North Yorkshire Council, inquiring about a supposed scheme we’d allegedly participated in. They were asking for our book delivery preferences. However, we've had no dealings with NYCC whatsoever, and a quick look into it revealed that no such programme exists. When I expressed my unfamiliarity with the matter, the caller turned quite curt, accused me of being impolite, and abruptly hung up. Quite frankly, it was all rather bewildering!
