Some bloke called sayin my washing machine insurance was expired, but I told him I already had it sorted. He kept sayin I could get one from him, but I was firm I already had it, then he just hung up on me. Not sure what he'd do if he got an older person on the line. But with the area code and Richard’s accent, sounded more like some shady call centre in Warrington. I definitely don’t have any washing machine insurance though. In the past week, I got four calls from these lot. They already have my name, address, and postcode, which is a bit worrying. They claim to be doing a survey and want to ask some questions. The voice on the phone always sounds like it's from abroad. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Best just not to pick up if you can.

Some bloke called Kenneth kept ringin' askin' for Mrs Edith Upton. I told him he had the wrong number and asked what he wanted. He said he was from D A G or somethin' to do with domestic appliances, talkin' about cover for a washin' machine. When I said I wasn't Mrs Upton and asked him to take me off their list, he rudely refused and just hung up on me. Proper cheeky!

Today my ill mum got a call about some washing machine insurance, which honestly just made me angry. It's awful that folks try and scam money like that. But guess what, they got the daughter this time who saw straight through their trick and they had the nerve to just hang up! They should really stop sitting on their behinds making dodgy calls and actually work an honest job instead of trying to nick cash from innocent people. Got a call from this number today around 4, went straight to voicemail but they didn’t leave a message. I’m gonna block it now so they don’t call back. I’d suggest everyone gets a phone with caller ID and a provider that shows the caller’s number, then you can block unwanted calls. Once blocked, it won’t even ring your phone. You can also block calls from unknown, international or withheld numbers. That way, only people you know - like friends and family - can get through.
