Got a call from a dodgy number claiming to have my full details - name, birthday, mobile - all that. They said it was about a car accident and then asked for my NI number. I was busy at work so just clicked off. Definitely a scam, trust me I’m usually sharp but that day I was knackered. Be careful if you get anything like this!

kept ringing then just hanging up on me, such a nuisance. had to block the number in the end.

This one’s a classic for me. I usually say, “Thanks for ringing, but can you hold on a moment?” then I hang up the phone for a bit, like 15 seconds or so. After that, I pick it up again and say, “Please remain on the line. Your scam call is very important and will be dealt with shortly.” Then I just leave the phone alone and wander off until they eventually hang up.

Got two missed calls from a number I don’t recognise, but they never bothered to leave any voicemail. What’s odd though is my phone’s only been on for a couple of hours. Strange!
