I got a call on my phone at 11.26 today. I didn't give them any info like my name or even part of my email. The bloke said his name was David, but with that foreign accent, I’m not sure that was legit. He also sounded like he was calling from overseas or somewhere really far away.

Got a call from someone saying they were UK Verso. I looked it up and it’s not a legit company at all. They wanted me to verify my postcode and kept saying they were from the UK. As soon as I questioned them, they just ended the call.

They claimed to be UK Verso. I foolishly went along with their questions, though I wasn’t totally truthful - stuff like what age group I fall into, car brand I own, TV brand, do I have a mortgage, mostly simple yes/no stuff. Then I phoned back the number that showed up on my screen and got a message saying "Thanks for calling I Love My Offers" (so definitely not UK Verso). You’re given some options, but then the whole message looped again, and eventually the call just cut off. Seriously feels dodgy to me.

Second time all I could hear was heavy breathing, so I told them I could hear them too, then they went silent. I muted myself and they unmuted - could hear them again for a bit.
