Got a call from someone saying he was from Microsoft, claimed he was Jason Roy from Reading and gave a work ID too. Said my computer was hacked and being used for some dodgy payments. Really pushed me to get on my computer and check a licence number he recited. I told him I was tied up and couldn’t access my PC right now, but he kept pushing. Oddly enough, my missus got a call just before mine from a different number and area code and dropped it straight away. Sounded quite legit with the details he had but definitely felt like a scam.
