Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying they were shutting down phone lines because of copper wire decommissioning. They then started talking about how they could help us save cash by upgrading our phone service. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying they were worried our old phone lines might get cut off because of some planned work. Complete rubbish! It's so annoying how most of the calls we get are just spam - probably 9 out of 10. Honestly, these constant spam calls should be banned, it takes ages and a lot of effort just to sort them out every day.

I got a call from a lady at BT who was really great. She told me about the copper lines being switched off soon. Turned out we still had an alarm system hooked up to those lines, but we had no clue it was still connected!

Received a call supposedly from BT saying our phone lines were going to be disconnected and that we were still listed as active on their copper network. Seemed a bit off to me.

A bloke from BT called and seemed pretty honest, he even knew the exact lines we use. He said the switch off wouldn’t bother us much, except it might cause issues with our alarm system.

this really cleared things up for us so we know we wont have any issues when they shut down some phone lines nearby.

Watch out! You ought to have received a letter about the changes to your phone line. Loads of scammers out there pretending to be from phone providers. Just use your brain when dealing with them. Don’t ever share personal details or say ‘yes’ to anything if it’s a cold call. Also, be aware some of those green and blue ratings on here might be fake and put up by scammers. Not sure if this one’s really BT or not.

Super useful info! I had no clue they were planning to cut off the copper lines. Turns out we're getting a really modern phone setup now. Didn’t even realise this change was happening.

I got a call from someone claiming to be a BT migration advisor. They told me why they were ringing, but I reckon their details were old since we've already made the switch.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be from BT. He was pretty friendly and told me about this DSN switch off thing that I'd never heard of before. He went through a bunch of options to make sure my business phone lines kept running. Fair warning though, he did ask quite a few questions.

They said they were from BT and claimed they had to switch off the old landline phones in our neighbourhood, checking if everything was alright. Kept pushing for details quite a bit. Honestly, don't give them any info, just ring your landline company if you're worried about losing service.
