Kept ringing me up wanting to chat with one of the directors about something to do with the Climate control levy. Was really dodgy when I tried to get his info, wouldn't say much about who he was.

As soon as I asked who was calling, they just went quiet and ended the call right away.

Fraudsters for sure. Give them a ring back and don’t hang up, just keep calling them. They find that really annoying.

He claimed to have been tasked with reaching out to us regarding the UK's climate change pact and wanted to chat with one of our directors (he even mentioned his name). I informed him that it was a Monday morning at 09:45 and our directors weren't just loitering about in their offices waiting for unsolicited calls.

At that point, he abruptly cut the line.

Additionally, I should mention that we’ve had a relentless stream of calls from this outfit, and we’ve already requested them to cease contacting us.

Some bloke called saying he was from an energy tax refund outfit, claimed I was overbilled and they wanted to give me money back - yeah, as if! Completely sounded like a scam to me.

For the last few days, I've had this blighter pestering me non-stop. He was one of those pesky cold callers, trying to persuade me to switch my energy provider. Kept banging on about how much money I could supposedly save-typical sales patter, really. An absolute nuisance!

Just got a call from a firm offering to check my utility bills to help save cash. And finally, no one with an obviously Indian background pretending to be a typical English Christian trying to con me. Felt refreshing, to be honest.

Got a missed call from this number on my phone, but they didn’t leave any voicemail or anything. I think a nearly identical number rang me a few days ago too, maybe part of the same telemarketer outfit? I’m not gonna phone back 'cause I’ve no clue who it is - could just be one of those robocalls seeing if my line’s active.
