I was scrolling through Facebook and got caught out by this clickbait saying something like "Famous British Celebrity #### caught in a Villa Blaze". Do not bother clicking it. As soon as I did, my screen locked up with a message saying my PC was infected with some Trojan virus and showing a fake number claiming to be Microsoft tech support. I’ve started a virus scan but have no idea what the result will be yet.

Cheers for the posts here - my missus clicked on a link about a “villa fire superstar” and suddenly her computer started showing warnings about being locked. The laptop then just turned off by itself. We've flagged that number as a risky spam caller now.

This morning my computer got locked up, and when I checked the number that popped up, it claimed to be from Microsoft Security. Definately a fake though. I tried calling back but got nothing. Watch out for this!
