At about 2:20 this afternoon, this number rang me and the guy said his name was David. He started chatting about grants you can get for windows and doors that are more than ten years old in my area. When I asked him to tell me my postcode, he just hung up straight away. Definitely a dodgy call, just spam trying to fish info.

This morning at about 8:16, someone claiming to be ‘Dave’ rang me up, saying my area qualified for new windows and doors. When I asked how they’d got my phone number, he dodged the question. After I mentioned my number’s on the TPS list, he just ended the call. I then tried to report it through TPS, but they want details like the company name, address, postcode, and website - which you can’t find just from a phone number. Proper frustrating!

I picked up and said "hello," then a lady apologised for interrupting me (which made me wonder why she even called!). She went on about how we might qualify for free solar panels (right, sure!). Then she asked if I was the homeowner. That’s when I told her I didn’t really believe who she claimed to be or what she was offering, so I just ended the call. Honestly, nothing that’s labelled FREE ever feels legit! If we decide on solar panels, we’ll definitely go through a company we trust.

Got a call from some young guy at about half nine on the 1st of July. He was trying to sell me windows and doors, saying it's for people in "your postcode area." When I asked which postcode he was actually talking about, he just said his manager would ring back with the details. I've blocked the number now so I don't get hassled again.

This guy rang saying he was a health advisor in our area and mentioned something about a medical condition and an alarm pendant. Since there are three people living here, I asked who exactly he was after. Then he said he could tell I wasn’t interested in chatting and just wished me a good day. Bit taken aback since it was so early in the morning when he called.

FAKE CALL....The guy seemed aware I had some health issues, but wasn’t sure exactly what. Tried to give me a free medical alert charm, but I told him I already have a medical bracelet. He just said thanks for letting him know, wished me a good day, and then ended the call. Didn’t manage to get any personal details from me, not even my name. I’ve blocked the number now, and I’m planning to report it to the local police and community watch.

Got a call off some bloke named Sam claiming to be from a local health outfit. He reckoned the records said I had some condition that meant I should get a free Medic-Alert bracelet. When I asked who he was representing, he just stammered and went quiet for ages. I told him I’d got better things to do than wait and hung up, then blocked the number straight away.

I’m currently attempting to market autumn-themed buttons and wrist buttons tailored for seniors. I requested some literature, as I’m not one to engage with salespeople that call out of the blue. Once the conversation turned to finances and who holds the reins, I started to feel quite uneasy. When I pressed for further details to be sent via post, the caller abruptly ended the conversation.

I picked up as it didn't come up as a scam, asked the bloke 3 times who he was, he said Sam. Then he claimed because I’m ‘vulnerable’ with a health issue, he had to sign me up for some sort of alert. When I asked him what my name was, he just talked over me, even when I was shouting to take my info off! I’ve beaten cancer, so I’m definitely not in any condition needing some alert round my neck!

Luckily, I’ve heard about scams like this before, usually with alarm company calls, so I gave him a piece of my mind. Sorted, and his number is blocked now. Does anybody know if TPS is even real?
