So, this 01917510055 number called me twice over just two days. Didn’t leave any voicemail or anything, so I haven’t got a clue who it might be. I think it’s somewhere in the northeast, since I’m based in Sunderland and 0191 is the code for round here. Bit odd, really.

I had a rather amusing interaction with a woman named "Maria" earlier. She had such a strong Indian accent that it was quite pronounced. She claimed to be from the "cyber security team"-right, as if! I promptly blocked the number. Cheers, but no thanks!

I received a call from this bloke who insisted I should be at my computer. He was trying to gain remote access to my machine. Though he introduced himself with an English-sounding name, his accent was distinctly foreign. When I questioned his intentions, he resorted to some rather vulgar name-calling.

I received a call supposedly from Microsoft, claiming that my computer was compromised. The individual on the line had previously contacted me using the number 0151 456 0201. They even recounted my Microsoft Licence number to me, insisting they could assist with the issue! I decided to end the conversation. Shortly after, they attempted to reach me numerous times from both the numbers 0191 751 0055 and 0151 456 0201.

Somebody called me saying they were from Microsoft security, telling me my PC was under attack. They asked me to go on my computer and do stuff they said, but I knew it was a trick so I just told them I don’t even have a computer. They didn’t like that and just hung up straight away. Be careful, it’s just hackers pretending to help!

I picked up but no one said anything, then it just hung up after a few seconds. From the looks of other reviews, it’s definitely a scam. Bit of a shame really, would’ve been funny to mess around with them since I don’t own a PC or anything Microsoft-related. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

I received a phone call concerning my computer and whether I was indeed the owner. The caller, quite aggressively, accused me of being dishonest. When I requested that my data be removed from their system, he outright refused. I mentioned that our conversation was being recorded, which only seemed to escalate his foul-mouthed tirade, calling me all sorts of offensive names. In my opinion, this was not a genuine call whatsoever. If it turns out it was, then he certainly deserves a serious reprimand, if not termination. Utterly appalling behaviour!

Beware of these scammers! They're linked to numbers like +31 20 135 06 04, +31 20 113 56 09, and 0151 456 0201. They pretend to be from Microsoft, saying my info got nicked and used for dodgy stuff. They try to convince you by showing something called event view as “proof” of illegal actions. The caller was an Asian lady who said her name was Maria Hill, which I thought was a bit odd - sounds like a character from a Marvel film!
