3 yearsI received a rather dodgy call today from someone claiming to be 'Sam', supposedly representing a firm associated with Vodafone. He goes on about the call being recorded, as if that holds any weight. He wanted to know how much I shelled out on my Vodafone last month, and mentioned a free promotional offer. Naturally, I felt a tad dubious and he suggested I could always reach out to Vodafone's main office if I felt uneasy. I wasn’t convinced, so I asked him why he'd need my first and last name for verification when I assumed he already had it on his screen. His response, "But sir, this is a recorded line," only raised my suspicions further. When I pressed him for his employee ID and the name of his company, there was a notable pause, followed by silence. Did I stir the pot with Vodafone? Should I be wary of something lurking in the shadows?SamVodafone3 yearsSo this bloke rings up claiming he's with some life insurance company, right?
