Got a call about energy prices the other day. The line was really scratchy, which honestly says a lot about how reliable they probably are. Definitely not impressed!

I just had a rather curious experience a mere five minutes ago. A lady with what I’d describe as a bit of an exotic accent-possibly East Asian-phoned me up and inquired to speak with whoever manages the electricity meter. She rattled off a number that she expected I would instantly recognise. Honestly, who on earth keeps track of their meter reference number day to day? To make matters more amusing, our electricity costs are rolled into the rent, hence we don't even possess a meter. I feel quite confident in deeming this a rather shifty attempt at scamming.

I answered and there was just silence, no one talking at all. Could be some sort of robot call. Even after I blocked the number, I still kept getting annoying voicemails!
