They've been persistent, haven't they? Always ringing me up, inquiring about someone I don't know. Best to ignore these daft individuals!

Someone called asking for a person I didn't know. Once I mentioned they had the wrong number, they just ended the call straight away.

I got called by someone claiming they were doing a survey about past insulation work, like rock wool or similar stuff. Felt like it was just a setup to pitch some “latest and greatest” product. I said no thanks and ended the call.

Called back the number after hearing some voices in the background but no one actually spoke to me, sounded like Northern accents. When I rang it again, I got a recorded message saying something like ‘the person you’re trying to reach can’t take your call right now’ and then the line just went dead.

They hung up just as we were about to pick up. Sounds like a total scam to me. We use TalkTalk and they make anyone calling from an unfamiliar number say their name first before we can hear anything, plus you have to press 4 to accept the call. Probably freaked them out and made them ditch the call. Definitely looks like a scam.
