I got a call from this number on my landline again on Friday 21st September 2018 at 3:24 pm. Didn’t answer it.

Woman said she was from "Legal & General" and wanted to talk to me by name. She mentioned my address and said the info was showing up on "the system she had." When I asked where she got the info, she didn't really explain properly. Said they were checking life insurance policies. I told her I'd never had one, and she said it must be a mistake in their system. Then she just ended the call straight away.

I asked straight away how he got hold of my private number, and he just said, “Ex-directory? Sorry about that, I’ll take you off our list.” Then he just cut the call.

Received a rather suspicious call claiming they wanted to help me with my life insurance policy. Oddly enough, the first question was whether I had one at all! I found it a bit perplexing to understand why they’d be keen to update something they weren't even sure I owned. The chap insisted, 'You didn’t seem to have one, so... your policy...' and then went on to request my date of birth. Curiously, they hadn’t even introduced themselves until I prompted them about it. Definitely not falling for that. Total scam!
