I keep receiving calls from a number that starts with "ssmrd," and each time the last digits seem to vary slightly. They all begin with my first name before they hang up. This time, I had enough and firmly told them, “Please don't bother, I’m not keen on whatever you’re selling. Just stop harassing this line and do one!” The person on the other end, likely called Sarah, replied with a rather cheery “okay” in a thick Indian accent. Quite baffling, really!
