Somebody said they were from Scottish Power, which I’m actually trying to leave right now, but then they asked me to give my details for some kind of ‘security check’ to confirm my identity. I told them it should be the opposite - they called me, so they should prove who they are first. After that, I just put the phone down.

Having spent some time in call centres myself during my youth, I understand it's all part of the job, but honestly, some of them really overstep the mark and come across as downright rude.
