Somebody said they were from Scottish Power, which I’m actually trying to leave right now, but then they asked me to give my details for some kind of ‘security check’ to confirm my identity. I told them it should be the opposite - they called me, so they should prove who they are first. After that, I just put the phone down.

They called me by the wrong name, and when I corrected them by saying my name's not ****** but ***, they tried to trip me up like I was lying or something. Then the guy says, "Sorry about that ******," and calls me the wrong name again! I told him once more it's not my name, and he goes, "Well, our system says it is." What nerve! I just told him their system's rubbish, said goodbye, and hung up. Honestly, I used to work in call centres and sales myself, so I get it’s a job, but these people go way beyond what's acceptable and are just plain rude.
