Got a call from this number today, 12 Oct 2017, and no answer when I picked up. Just another annoying call, so I've blocked it now.

When I rang them back, I received a message stating that they were known as the First Call Group. If I wanted to opt out, they instructed me to send my name and phone number to a specific email. A quick online search revealed that they're a call centre operating out of South Africa, specialising in business outsourcing.

I’ve received two calls from this number now, with the latest one claiming they were contacting me about a £2,500 refund linked to shopping. I promptly hung up as it’s clearly a scam of some sort. Just a heads-up, this is a North Shields number, and I certainly do not have any affiliations with entities in that area. Stay vigilant!

I don't personally recognise anyone from North Shields, nor have I had any prior interactions with businesses in that area, which is why I opted not to pick up the call. Given that they didn’t leave a message, it seems likely this is just some sort of random caller.

I picked up the phone quite promptly, yet the line was already dead!

I've recently fallen victim to identity theft, which has left me quite anxious. It's a bit alarming that these individuals are asking for my address to process a refund. They seem to have the street name down but have got my house number all wrong.
