Received a rather intrusive phone call from someone peddling what they claimed was a must-have service for safeguarding broadband. Honestly, I can't fathom why anyone would require this-complete waste of time!

this number was from vodafone checking if i wanted to switch to their home broadband, saying they had a good deal on a gigabit speed for existing customers. i told the person i was already with virgin media and they were quite polite, just said to keep them in mind if i thought about changing later. didnt seem dodgy or pushy to me at all.

vodafone - i said i was working, and they replied "I get that youre busy but itll just take a couple mins". when i asked if their broadband company lets them call at work, they just hung up. bit annoying but didnt feel like a scam or anything.
