Someone called me pretending to be James Henderson, saying he's from HMRC. He warned me about a warrant supposedly issued in my name and told me not to ignore it, asking me to ring the number below. The number they gave was 01916452854.

Sounds like James Anderson’s making the rounds again! This morning I got a really nasty phone call claiming I owed thousands and had to give my card details right away or I’d be arrested. I rang HMRC straight away, and they confirmed no breach of info on their end - especially if you’re waiting on a claim from them like I was worried about. They told me to report it to the fraud squad, which I’ve already done today.

These scammers are pretending to be from HMRC, threatening to jail you if you don't pay thousands - £4 or £5k! I had the exact same number and name ring me. I contacted HMRC directly and they assured me there’s no case against me and everything’s fine with my account. Honestly, HMRC should step in and look into this properly.

This morning, I received a call from that man. I left a voicemail explaining I’ve got no connection to Rangers FC at all. While I do think they’re dodging taxes, it’s not me he should be reaching out to, it’s them. The bloke’s name’s Mr David Murray.

I just got a call and they left a voicemail which sounded like it was from a robot. The message claimed a warrant was going to be put out "in your name" for tax evasion and fraud, but never actually said my name. They said I had to ring back straight away or they’d take it to the local courts. I’m a full-time mum, don’t have a job and don’t pay tax. So I know for certain I haven’t done anything dodgy or fraudulent. It's clearly a scam! Still, it can be pretty scary and stressful if you don’t pay attention to the details in the message.
