I find the whole situation utterly appalling. Twice now, my daughter has received phone calls probing her for information related to her employment post-college. These calls are not only unwelcome but also quite intrusive. It's clear that they have no right to be fishing for her details, whatever their justification may be. After a bit of pressing, they confessed that they aren’t affiliated with the college at all. It’s rather concerning how they’ve managed to acquire my daughter’s number and personal information from the institution in the first place. This has left us feeling quite distressed about what third parties have access to her data without consent.

Absolutely shocking how they’re gathering info. Got two calls recently asking about my daughter’s job after she finished college. These calls were so intrusive and unwanted - there’s no way she agreed to share that info. After pressing for details, they admitted they weren’t calling on behalf of the college. It’s clear they must have obtained her contact and details from the college somehow, but it’s disturbing that some random third party has got hold of her personal info without permission. Really upsetting situation.

Someone rang asking if I had finished my course and what my plans were next, whether I fancied being self-employed or working for someone. They said they were calling from the college, but I wasnt too sure about that.

I got a bit concerned thinking maybe this wasn’t a real number, especially when they asked me about where I’m doing my apprenticeship and which company I’m training with.

So I got a call from this number, and the bloke on the phone claimed I dropped out of some TA course last year, trying to convince me to finish it. Thing is, I never quit any courses like that. I reckon if I'd said yes, he'd soon ask for more of my personal info to sign me up. Also, he wouldn't tell me how he got my name or which company he was calling from. Proper dodgy if you ask me.
