Got a call from a woman about my energy supply. Honestly, if I were looking to switch providers or take part in a survey I’d sort it out myself. My phone popped up with a "missed call" from this number I didn't know, but I had my phone right next to me the whole time and it never made a sound or anything. I wasn’t even on it, so that seemed really fishy to me. I ended up blocking the number and clearing it from my notifications straight away.

They said they were ringing from Northern Powergrid asking if we could answer a few questions about a power outage we apparently reported. We did notify them about the outage but weren’t really up for going through their questions.

They said they were calling from Weston Power to get some feedback about a call I’d made to them not long ago. I kindly told them I wasn’t interested in doing the survey.

I didnt pick up the phone, let it ring through to my answer machine instead, and the person on the other end just left their phone off the hook on purpose until the operator started telling them to put the handset back. It was annoying but kinda funny since they’re the one paying for the call anyway.
