She was inquiring whether I was interested in renewing the warranty for my freezer. Now, I’ve had that appliance for donkey's years, and the warranty lapsed yonks ago! I promptly ended the conversation; I’d rather be doing anything else than dealing with these bothersome calls (my BT Call Protect is overflowing!).

Someone joked about sending these scammers away, but they're ringing from overseas and faking UK numbers anyway, so that wouldn't do any good. Honestly, I wish there was a way to zap every cold caller and scammer everywhere!
