Beware of this number - it’s linked to a fraudulent call centre. I attempted to buy a vehicle through Facebook Marketplace and ended up speaking to a so-called “Sales Manager” named “Samuel Allen”. A chap with a strong foreign accent kept pestering me, urging me to transfer money to a Monzo account based in Wakefield. For context, this car was listed as being located in Plymouth, yet I was told it was ‘sitting’ in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne because they “hadn’t yet acquired it from an auction”. The phone number, by the way, is based in Durham. Please report these dodgy dealings to the authorities.
