Some woman with a heavy Indian accent rang me, saying she was calling from Virgin Media. She told me my internet hadn't been running quite right and wanted to take a look at it. She asked what colour the blinking light was and if I could stay by my PC so she could 'fix' it. I said I needed to verify the call was legit by ringing Virgin Media myself, and she hung up straight away. Felt dodgy right from the start.
