I received a call from someone claiming they were representing Microsoft. Utterly annoying and obviously a scam! I can't quite fathom how these types of calls manage to slip through the telecommunications providers.

Beware of this number; it's a total scam! Please refrain from engaging with them or sharing any personal information. They’re up to no good and certainly deserve to be dealt with, but unfortunately, it seems the authorities aren't taking any action, even though they definitely could. Stay safe and don't fall for their tricks!

I just picked up the call, and they disconnected as soon as I stayed quiet. Quite strange!

I’ve just added 01909 732 859 to my blocked numbers list, as it’s yet another caller who doesn’t utter a word!

Received a call purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service, touting an upgraded service for a single payment. They seemed to know quite a bit about me but when it came to coughing up cash, they abruptly ended the conversation. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

As mentioned earlier by other commenters, I received the same call while waiting for another call. Since then, I have been receiving hourly calls from a blocked number. The first call claimed to be from the Telephone Preferential Monitoring Service.

I received numerous calls from a scammer, but I simply ignored them, grateful for having caller ID. It's handy for avoiding such nuisances.

I just reached out to my fixed telephone line. It only rang once before the caller abruptly disconnected the call. I appreciate the feedback shared earlier, therefore I have decided to block those individuals from further commenting.

I cannot be certain about the identity of the caller, given that it was simply a silent disconnect. However, after perusing the remarks on this platform, I'm inclined to think these callers are likely nothing more than fraudsters, potentially linked to various deceitful schemes that plague many of us with phones on a daily basis. It feels like an incessant nightmare that we just can't shake off!

I've received multiple calls from this number throughout the day. I eventually decided to answer. The caller claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service, but it all seemed rather suspect. When I requested a callback number for verification, the chap abruptly hung up. Quite clearly a scam, if you ask me.

This number has been ringing my landline every hour, three times in a row now! The call disconnects roughly ten seconds after I answer, and I don’t recognise the number at all. Oddly, I’ve not said a word during any of these calls.

I’ve had just about enough of these persistent calls. Time to look into a proper call-blocking solution, as my current one is frankly non-existent. I didn’t hold back when I told them where to shove it!

I received a call from Scarlett at Telephone Preference Management, but as soon as I asked for her full postal address to lodge a complaint, she ended the call abruptly. This marks the second time I've received a call from this number today. The voice on the line had an unmistakable call centre vibe, reminiscent of the Indian subcontinent, despite the number appearing to be from Worksop.

I received a call from this number, but they didn’t utter a word before just hanging up. It's perplexing, really, as I have BT Call Protect and am also registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I’m baffled as to how they managed to bypass these safeguards.

An Asian woman’s voice on the line inquired whether I was getting nuisance calls on my landline. I confirmed that indeed I was, and that this call was a prime example. I promptly ended the call.

After checking the phone records, it was discovered that this particular number made four phone calls while we were away today. Surprisingly, no voicemail or message was left behind. To investigate further, I decided to call back using the 141 code in order to hide my own number. However, it became evident that the number was fake and does not exist. It is quite clear that this was an attempt by scammers to reach us.

They've made three phone calls today within the past hour, but haven't left any messages. It's clear they are either trying to scam or wasting our time.

During the phone call, I was informed that I was the sole participant in this conference call. It was peculiar because the day before, I received five calls from a different number claiming to be a company that specializes in blocking unwanted calls. Strangely, they knew my name but had an outdated address on file. This isn't the first time I've encountered such a situation, as something similar happened a few weeks ago. Now, they started probing for information about my credit cards, although they didn't request the full card numbers, they did ask for the expiration dates.

Curious to note that there were mentions about this number dating back to last December, yet there has been radio silence until now. I happened to be out when they tried to get in touch, but I’m quite certain I’ll be adding this number to my blocked list.

Ensure that you have Churchill's official mobile and landline numbers saved on your phones, as when calls are abruptly ended without a follow-up, it can be frustrating.

I’ve no acquaintances in Worksop, nor do I have any ties to the area. So I really can’t fathom why these muppets keep ringing me only to hang up without leaving a message. It’s nothing but a right pain in the neck and a complete waste of time! What a bunch of plonkers! 0

In a rather ridiculous turn of events, this number managed to ring me seven times over the span of two and a half hours, despite my call blocker being in place to thwart them. Rather amusingly, they didn’t bother to leave a message at all. What absolute plonkers!

I received several calls today. Since I was expecting calls from the hospital and other important places, I answered one of them. The person on the other end, who sounded Asian, asked for me by name. I inquired about their identity and they mentioned something about a telephone preference service. I informed them that I was already registered with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), indicating that they should not be calling me. Thankfully, I have now blocked their number on my phone.

He stated that he was contacting me regarding my preferences for receiving calls and addressing nuisance calls. He claimed that BT had provided him with my information. Although he had my name and address, he provided an incorrect postcode. Therefore, I decided to terminate the call.
Typically, I do not answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. However, I was anticipating a call from my insurance company this time.

Scam phone call - employing manipulative tactics to deceive you into divulging personal information. The caller swiftly disconnected when I mentioned our registration with the Telephone Preference Service. It appears to be a call centre operation, as the individual communicating had limited command over the English language.

I reckon this bothersome call is linked to a dodgy scam I've flagged from a different number. It claims to be from Clevedon—01275250667—pretending to represent the Telephone Preference Service. I've already informed the actual TPS about this, but I think voicing more complaints might help shed some light on the situation.

I have had a similar experience as well. I think this male caller may be associated with the number 01275250667, which is linked to an area known as Clevedon. They claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service, but when I called them, I found it to be quite bothersome. I have encountered a couple of callers with Asian accents.

Endless ringing all day long – it’s like these dimwits can’t even be bothered to engage when someone finally answers. One would think that anyone with a shred of common sense would understand that this incessant pestering, whether well-meaning or not, simply won’t win them any customers. Enough already, just take a hike, you numpties!
