My elderly aunty got a call from a man, sounded Asian, asking for her bank info. He was really pushy, kept going on about it. She only ended up giving him the first number but he somehow knew the rest and even how she paid her bills. He said it was a free service for people over 80, which seemed odd. After seeing other reviews, we told her to report it to the bank as a scam. These people seriously deserve to be caught.

I picked up the phone and after a brief delay, an Asian bloke greeted me. When I replied with my company's name, he stopped talking and then the call abruptly ended. They've tried ringing me back four times today, but after reading other folks’ remarks, I've been ignoring their calls. Since they can’t really do anything unless they get through to the actual owner of the business line, it’s pointless trying with me.

I received a call from a lady with a foreign accent who claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. She informed me that, starting today, I would no longer be protected by their services unless I made a payment. It immediately became evident to me that this was a scam. Without hesitation, I firmly explained to the caller that I was not interested and promptly ended the call.

No joke, this number has popped up on my phone 4 times just today alone. I don’t answer, and they never leave a voicemail either. I’m not feeling too great lately, so these constant rings are really getting on my nerves. But seriously, does anyone do anything to stop these companies?? Feels like zero action is ever taken!

I got a call from a very pushy lady with an Indian accent. I told her I wasn’t interested at all, but she wouldn’t stop trying to keep me on the line. I said sorry and explained I really didn’t have time for it, yet she just kept going. Eventually, I ended the call before she could say another word.

Got a call from someone calling himself Indian John, claiming to be from some TP management. He asked if I was still bothered by annoying or sales calls. I told him yes, in fact I’d just had one a moment ago! Ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Last time they rang, I let them talk a bit more and it was obvious they’re just after cash, so I marked them as Dangerous.

Had pretty much the same thing happen to me. A lady with a strong Indian accent said she was calling from TPS. She rattled off loads of my personal stuff, then asked for my Visa debit card number. I wasn’t having any of it and hung up. Then she called again, saying it was urgent, and passed me to her "manager". This guy started pushing for card details and got quite pushy when I said no. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a really pushy bloke with an Indian accent, claiming I’d stop getting marketing calls. He wanted me to confirm if I paid with a card ending in 2019. When I asked who he was, he started yelling at me, saying “You can’t ask who’s calling!” I told him I wasn’t going to continue the call then. Strangely, they even knew my daughter’s name. What a load of rubbish. 🙄

I thought this call was probably a scam and only picked up out of curiosity. But right after I said hello, the call just dropped, so I never got to listen to any of the TPS scammers folks mentioned in their reviews. Quite anticlimactic really.

The person on the phone had a strong Asian accent and claimed they could help me stop all my annoying calls for free. They already knew my name and address, which I think I naively agreed to. Then I got transferred to someone else who began asking for my info again. I cut them off, pointing out they wouldn’t have any way to actually block calls from BT, so how could they say they could? After that, the call just ended abruptly.

Yet another fraudulent TPS scam has emerged, following a tiresome pattern. Once again, a heavily accented individual with a non-native voice attempted to obtain personal details. Interestingly, the caller seemed to possess a name and postcode on record. However, neither of these belonged to me. It appears that they are trying to gather fragments of information in order to commit identity theft. It is worth noting that a prevalent tactic employed by these scammers is deliberately providing incorrect information, leading the recipient to unknowingly supply the correct details.

I also got a phone call where they asked me to verify the expiry date of my Visa card, along with other details. Just like you, I quickly ended the call. However, I am well aware of a company named Zoom which illicitly takes money from people's bank accounts without their permission. It's not just one phone company involved in this scam. Therefore, I plan to inform my bank about this and make sure they reject any payment requests from such fraudulent activities.

I got a ring from someone named Jade claiming to be from Telephone Preference Management. Funny enough, yesterday I had a call from Jane Rogers on 0020813367837 telling me my credit card supposedly expired last year. She asked for my name and address, and when I mentioned that TPS was free, she insisted this was a lifetime service that would cost £79 - quite steep for just 5 minutes, if you ask me! I told her I’d be notifying Trading Standards about the whole thing.

A gentleman from another country claimed to be representing TPS, and assured me that I would no longer receive annoying phone calls. I was quite pleased to hear this, so I provided him with my address as confirmation. However, he then proceeded to inquire about my debit card details, which made me realize it was a fraudulent scheme. I quickly informed him that TPS does not require any card information and promptly ended the call.

I've been receiving several calls from this particular number throughout the day. The individuals on the other end have been stating that they contacted me after noticing my number on a "Call Blocking List". Their main objective appears to be selling a service aimed at preventing unwanted calls.

Got a call from a bloke named Stephen who said his company, Telephone Preference Management, was the only place in the UK that could block calls from a blacklist. Like others have mentioned, he claimed it was the new TPS. What really set me off was when he said my phone was linked to a direct debit and asked me to verify the last four digits. I told him to send me something in writing. I doubt he will, but I reckon some folks might fall for it.

Got a call claiming to be from the TPS. The line was awful, sounded like it was coming from another country. They said they were updating my preferences and began asking for personal info. I foolishly gave them my new address. Then they tried to get my debit card info, saying it was to confirm a direct debit payment for my phone bill. I refused to share any details and they just hung up on me.
