I’m signed up with the TPS but still got a call from this number on my home phone. As soon as I picked up, they just ended the call. Pretty clear it was a scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be “bt,” saying our internet wasn’t working and the fix required me to log onto my computer and give them personal details. When I asked where they were calling from and their name, they couldn't give me a straight answer. They kept ringing back even after I ended the call, so I handed the phone to my daughter who quizzed them with some grade 5 theory questions and explained why scamming is just wrong, no matter what. She then hung up, and we never heard from them again. Definitely a dodgy scam.

as soon as i picked up the phone the caller just hung up, looks like one of those annoying nuisance calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach, said there was an issue with my router. They asked me to check some sort of internal settings on my PC, which seemed odd since they didn’t even ask who my internet provider was. The connection was awful, and when I asked them to prove their identity, they just wouldn’t do it. Really felt like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call from 01909721550, the person said something about broadband. When I asked which broadband it was, they just hung up on me. Strange behaviour!
