Got a call from an Asian guy, said he was from some govt place about my unpaid debts. He said his name was Harry. When I asked which company he worked for, he just said government referral. I told him I don't owe anything unsecured. He kept saying I must have credit or store card debts. I denied everything then he just ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent saying he was from Citizens Advice and that I owed cash on catalogues, credit cards, and loans. I told him I don’t owe anyone anything and ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

I received a call from a chap claiming to be with the legal department of Citizens Advice, insisting that I had outstanding loans that needed addressing. What a complete fibber! I don't owe anything at all! I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent saying he was from Citizens Advice, already knew my name which I acknowledged, but when he mentioned my address I didn't confirm and asked "Who exactly do you work for again?". He claimed the GOVERNMENT had shared my info so they could discuss my debt with me! I set him straight, saying he’s got the wrong person, I’m registered with the TPS and I’m hanging up now. He kept trying to talk but I cut the call off.

Got a call from a hidden number, I picked up thinking it might be the hospital or sumone important.

They’re now ringing me but blocking their number so it shows as ‘no caller ID’ on my phone, which is normally what the doctors or hospital use. It’s really frustrating because if my doctor does call, I won’t pick up.

Got a call about a car accident I supposedly wasn’t at fault for, total rubbish. Asked the woman where she got my details from, but all she did was keep saying “you’ve had a car accident that wasn’t your fault, when did it happen?” I told her I never had any accident, but she just ignored it. A woman rang up sayin I’d been in a recent car crash that wasn’t my fault! Haven’t had one of these calls pop up in ages! I played along and said yes, it happened, and mentioned I’ve been really angry and losing my temper. Got a call from some company claiming I’d been in a car crash that wasn’t my fault - thing is, I haven’t. I asked the lady how she knew about it, but all she did was keep repeating the same line, “You’ve had an accident that wasn’t your fault. When did this happen?” I told her if she really knew, she’d also know when it was, and who’d given them my number. Then she just hung up on me. I got so annoyed I tried ringing back to tell them off but the number was no longer valid. These people really wind me up and I reckon they should be stopped.

Received a call at 18:40 on the 19th of June - it was one of those pesky unsolicited ones. I’ve noticed a bit of a trend with these accident claim calls lately. I had a minor traffic accident about a month back, and thankfully, it wasn’t my fault, and I didn’t end up with any injuries or hassles. Perhaps that’s why I’m suddenly getting pestered by these sorts of calls? Quite frustrating!

It kicked off with the typical scam line "We've been told you've been in an accident that wasn't your fault" - so I decided to humour them.
