Got a call from 01908 904893 today. Like I usually do with any unfamiliar number, I looked it up on this site to figure out if it’s dodgy or not. When I tried ringing back, it just said the number wasn’t valid, which is a bit suspicious. Sounds like it’s one of those HMRC scam calls that people keep warning about. I’ve already reported it to HMRC’s phishing team via email, and I’d definitely say it’s best to block this number going forward.

I received a recorded message that requested my name, address, and phone number-despite the fact that they were already contacting me! They claimed it was an opt-out call and that if I provided my details, they would remove me from their list in 70 hours. I decided to hang up instead.

Got a call from the same number again today. This time they actually spoke, claiming they were from some call blocking company and said they’d help stop annoying telemarketers and update my call blocking settings. Bit weird, if you ask me.
