It could’ve been genuine, but after getting the same questions three times, I got quite wary. Whenever I asked for more details, they just dropped the call. I kept asking what the call was about and where he was calling from but he got quite rude, saying he wouldn’t talk until I gave my details and threatened that I’d be breaking the law if I didn’t comply. When I told him I wasn’t speaking to anyone unless I knew for certain who they were and why they were phoning, and that I suspected it was a scam, he went off the rails, abused me, and even accused me of horrible things like being a paedophile.
